Elite Mark Spotted!: Rogue Tomato Slain!
A quarter century ago did Nalbina Fortress — that last bastion against the machinations of the Garlean Empire — fall. Beneath its proud spires a supply route led underground to the sands just outside of Rabanastre, that Desert Sapphire and capital city of Dalmasca. It was here that, prior to that dark point in our nation's history, a brewery stood at midpoint to quench the thirst and slake the appetites of those who would bring succor to our nation's fighters. Though the Garleans turned the passage into a prison and the brewery closed down, it reopened within the city of Rabanastre itself betwixt the North End and Lowtown. Now more than ever do we the people of Dalmasca need to hold the front — to become that new bastion against the Empire's cruelty. Let us drink to those we have lost, and to those we can yet save. Long live Dalmasca. Long live the B'nargan royal family. Long live the Suncrest, may she wave proudly 'neath that desert sun once more.
OOC: While the Brewery was once merely a dedicated corner of Tumelo's Sundries, this downstairs tavern offers a front to the Dalmascan Resistance. Behind the bar and hidden behind the WC resides a back room where the Sun Crest Resistance Unit once held their meetings. While the unit is currently scattered in their attempts to recruit the Warrior of Light, foreign nations, and other rebel units into an alliance, Tumelo still keeps the place tidied and ready for their eventual return. Other Resistance factions may make use of the room; see our rules for more information.Aside from the hidden, soundproofed back room, there is also Huntmaster Lohen and his hunting billboard near the stairs. You can read more about these hunts here to earn Sun Crest seals.

Cactus Piss - 350gil

All Prices are IC only. No real gil is traded!

1547 Bacchus vintage - 10,000gil
Enjoy a rare sip of Bacchus wine from a vintage long thought lost! One half-shot per customer.
-
Warning: excess amounts of Bacchus may cause unpredictable behaviour. Barheim Brewery is not responsible for any damages to persons or property. Please drink responsibly.

Barose - 500gil
A traditional favourite amongst Rabanastran nobility with a long and storied history, Barose provides an elegant solution to the shortage of Valens. This signature rosé pairs well with any Dalmascan dish!

Mulsum - 500gil
Imported from Bandee Pakshee in the decadent citystate of Radz-at-Han, this dry white is sweetened with warm honey obtained from Thavnairian beekeepers.
Where's the Valens? Valens (a famed wine from Lea Monde and one of Dalmasca's most beloved exports) has all but dried up after the vinyards were put to torch. Most draughts were confiscated by occupying Garleans, or hidden away in private collections. Each singular bottle is worth more than a furnished mansion. The Barheim Brewery thus does not serve such a beverage, even upon special request.
All Prices are IC only. No real gil is traded!

A drink almost everyone can relate to. Ginger juice, bourbon, dry gin, lime juice, and bitters make a drink strong enough to stop the suffering, at least for a little while.

Witch's Pyre - 500gil
Cinnamon whiskey, honey, and lemon are heated until each sip is akin to a bonfire in your mouth. A festive drink for the colder seasons, and a perfect toast to remember the fallen and light a fire in the hearts of those left behind. May the Witch's Pyre ever burn.
Deflowered Cactoid - 350gil
Sparkling wine and fernet, cactus puree, lemon juice, and cane sugar juice come together in a fizzing drink to cool you off after a long trip over the Westersands. A house favourite! Non-alcoholic option available.

HOUSE RULES:
The Barheim Brewery is a tavern located in Garlean-controlled Rabanastre, but the back room doubles as a SECRET, hidden, warded, and sound-proofed base for Dalmascan Resistance meetings. With this volatile mix of patrons comes a hard list of rules set in place by Tumelo, the owner of this establishment. The rules are as follows:1.) No discussion of Resistance Efforts in the main tavern! Keep it in the back room to prevent incitement. The back room is meant to be a SECRET base, after all! (Please see the link for rules specific to the back room!)2.) No fights! Do not in any way overtly endanger the tavern or its staff/customers IC-ly without clearing it with me OOC-ly in advance. *Informing me immediately before, during, or afterwards does not qualify as sufficient communication/consent.3.) Coded phrases must be used to identify Resistance! The code "If you have eyes..." "...don't look" marks you as sympathetic to the Resistance. But in order to get into the back room for meetings as an active member/combatant of a resistance unit, you must order a Demon Drink AND either pass Tumelo's tests or be in the company of someone known to her and trusted by her. This is to weed out moles paid with Garlean coin.
If your character is Garlean: Do not use these codes. Do not meta that you know them. Do not engage with the back room for any reason without OOC and IC permission.4.) Do NOT stalk or harass members inside the Brewery, or use IC as a tool to exact OOC revenge. If you have been banned from the establishment, you are not welcome on the housing premise. Anyone caught breaking this rule, or breaking XIV's ToS (particularly 3.2 and 3.6), either themselves or by proxy, will be reported to FFXIV GMs. We consider ignoring a ban to be a disruption of a gameplay experience on the basis of harassment and therefore a violation of rulings 3.2 and 3.6.
Available Hunt Marks:-Rank VIII Maliktender (Ahm Araeng)
-Rank II Elder Wyvern (Churning Mists - Four arms)
-Rank I Imperial Tesserarius (Southern Thanalan - Broken Water Leve: Cost of Living)*This set is for RP hooks. Upon proof of completion via screenshot, a Sun Crest seal will be awarded to participants, which can then be exchanged for prizes.
Elite Mark: Rogue Tomato Slain!
"A vexing Representative of the Deadly Nightshade Family has been sighted nearby Rabanastre. Thankfully, it seems like a rogue: outcast from its kin, a stranger in a strange land, no longer possessed of those deadly powers it once wielded with impunity. Still, it's tearing up the local vegetable patches and becoming quite the nuisance. Do put it down for me, won't you?"

The Ivalice High Seraph Team is playing in this year's Blitzball Tournament!

Welcome to the back room of the Barheim Brewery
This room is a secret, warded, glamoured, and soundproofed location for Resistance meetings, headed by the Sun Crest Resistance Unit.
To access this point, you MUST first:
-be known as an active Resistance member
-know the correct password
-have reason to make use of the room
-have permission to enter from either Tumelo or the Sun Crest Resistance Unit members. You MAY NOT godmod entering this room for any reason.
You MAY NOT reveal this location to anyone outside the Resistance.
You MAY NOT endanger anyone within this room for any reason whatsoever.
You MAY NOT engage in spying on the backroom for any reason without first clearing it WELL in advance with Tumelo OOC-ly.Tumelo reserves the right to restrict access to this room to anyone for any reason.
All interactions taking place in the back room must adhere to the Brewery's rules as well as the Dalmascan RP Hub's rules as listed in the RP Hub discord. To sum up:➤ Do not blend IC and OOC interactions. This mindset can be incredibly harmful for those involved as well as uncomfortable for those around you.
➤ If you’re engaging in spying on a character, discuss with that player about it to see if it’s okay and what you can learn.
➤ Do not God Mod or Metagame. If there is no realistic way your character would know something, that’s fine! Your character is allowed to fail sometimes, and your character doesn’t always have to be in the right.
➤ Please keep ERP to private rooms and out of public spaces/events. We want everyone to be comfortable and walking in on ERP in our RP spaces is exceptionally uncomfortable.
Dalmascan Leves

➤ "What are Dalmascan Leves?" Dalmascan Leves are posted on Lohen's desk in the Barheim Brewery. There are two kinds: largescale leves, and regular leves. They utilise the Jackal Combat system. Participants can either use a default sheet, or make their own custom character combat sheet.➤ Largescale Leves: These leves are GMd events alternating with Barheim Brewery tavern nights on Fridays (2pm CST/8pm GMT) and Sundays (6:30pm CST, 00:30 GMT). A Sun Crest seal is awarded for participation, with double for swift completion of duty. Those who volunteer to GM a leve are awarded 3.➤ Regular Leves: Regular leves can be completed off-screen or as personal RP. Unlike largescale leves or personal hunts, however, regular leves undertaken for personal RP will not award Sun Crest seals, and are meant purely for advancing personal plots .➤ "Who can host a Largescale Leve?" Anyone willing to GM a pre-established leve is welcome to do so. Ask for scripts!➤ "Can I post a custom leve?" Absolutely! Members of the DRPH are welcome to come up with and GM their own leves, so
long as they adhere to the specifications on this doc's 4th slide.
Current Leve:
Largescale Leves:
➤ Date TBD - Hunger Games: The residents of Lowtown are growing hungry while the Garleans living topside grow fatter by the day. Ransack an Imperial supply caravan and bring the perishable goods back to the locals. [Balmung] Southern Thanalan, Forgotten Springs.
➤ Date TBD - Birds of Pray: Once upon a time, a young nobleman's son demanded ownership of a Rabanastran Red chocobo as his warsteed. The nobleman indulged his son in a Red chick egg, thinking the experience would humble the lad. Unfortunately, it did not. Even more unfortunately, word of the Rabanastran Reds' prowess in battle has reached many a foreign rich man's ears who would like to do the same. Collect three Red chocobo chick eggs for these investors. After all, it's their funerals -- just make sure it isn't yours. [Balmung] Tailfeather Aetheryte.
Regular Leves:
➤ To Be Announced

Huntmaster Lohen's Desk:
"Welcome, welcome to Barheim Brewery! I'm Huntmaster Lohen of Clan Delima. Behind me is Clan Delima's hunt board. Feel free to browse the listings to your heart's content. Some of the marks are right bothersome blighters making life hard on the smallfolk here in Dalmasca, but they should prove no match against an adventurer of your skill. The more beastly ones, however, I'd recommend forming a party. You'll know when they show up -- I'll lable them Elite Marks. If you're after more regular work, though, we've got no shortage of Dalmascan Leves currently on offer. Why don't you pick one out? Just have a look through the plates. Go on, now — don't be shy. Honest work gets honest pay, after all. There's not much in the way of gil here, but we make sure to reward our helpers with Sun Crest seals all the same."
—a message from Lohen
